What we don’t track,
what we actually touch.
Last updated: 7 May 2026
Nullrate is a currency calculator. We don’t run analytics, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t show ads. This page explains the small amount of data our infrastructure necessarily touches, and what your rights are.
The short version
No analytics. No advertising IDs. No third-party trackers. No selling, no sharing for marketing. The only data we ever see is what you choose to send us through the contact form.
What you choose to send us
If you contact us through the support form on this site we receive your name, email address, the topic you picked, and your message. Delivery runs through Resend, a transactional email service; the message lands in our support inbox and is retained until we resolve the thread or you ask us to delete it. Reply emails go directly between us — no third party reads them.
What our infrastructure touches
Running the app and website unavoidably involves a few well-known providers. Each of these processes data per their own privacy policies; we never see more than what we describe here.
- Firebase (Google) — the app reads daily exchange rates from Firestore. Each request hits Google’s servers with your IP address and basic device fingerprint, the same as visiting any Google-hosted site. We do not enable Firebase Analytics or any other tracking SDK.
- Apple In-App Purchase — handles your subscription if you upgrade. Apple shares an anonymized transaction receipt with us; we never see your card details, name, or App Store account.
- Locale cookie — a single first-party cookie called nullrate-locale remembers which language you picked on the website. Functional only, never used for tracking, and you can delete it any time from your browser settings.
What we don’t do
We don’t run Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel, or any other analytics tool. We don’t load advertising pixels or third-party scripts. We don’t sell, rent, or share your data with marketing partners. We don’t profile you or build behavioral records.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of any data we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or ask us to correct it. EU and UK residents have these rights under the GDPR, California residents under the CCPA, and everyone else by our policy. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
Nullrate is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us data through the contact form, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we update this policy in any meaningful way, we’ll bump the last-updated date at the top of this page. For material changes that affect what we collect or how we use it, we’ll notify users directly through the app.
